Today we as the youth are court up in the fantasy of fantasising about other young people's lives who have made it into success. The question is what are we doing to reach that point? In most cases we find that these young people that we look up too whether it be business woman/man, Tv personalities or maybe our cousins,siblings or whoever, had to work really hard to get to where they are in life. One of the factors that contribute to their success is determination, sacrifice and perserverance. Sacrificing our sleep or nightouts for studying, learning or reading isn't the coolest thing one can think of. What we dont think of is the outcomes that one can benefit from this. Have we ever noticed that those students that sacrifice their time to learn,study and read and we thought they are boring are those in 3 years time we see driving luxury cars and living the luxury lives that we've been longing for.
It shows that we are the one's that choose what and how we want to end. It really isn't a pleasant feeling when one has to do a 3 year course for 5 years while all those that we set in class with have made it in life.
Are we willing to sacrifice our lives for a positive outcome where we will be those that the upcoming generation look up to or are we going to keep on envying other people's lives and keep on hoping?

i personally think that sleeping is for the unambitious .
ReplyDeleteMost of us are caught up into the things of the world and are lazy to educate ourselves and therefore those are the factors that contribute to teenage pregnacy, drugs and etc because we tend to think that this is the way out.
DeleteI believe that most of us in our generations are losing our idea and purpose of living in this world. we have lost our ways in culture... we just need a wake up call!!
ReplyDeleteI certainly agree with you because I think that we as todays' youth are stuck up in the mentality of thinking that because we get everything easy at home, there's no need to educate ourselves and be ambious and we don't realise that our parents are not going to be in this world with us forever, we are going to be on our own at some point so therefore we need to grab the opportunity that we are given by both hands because thousands of people out there are seeking the opportunity to go to school.
DeleteHaving people that will motivate us will give us a positive attitude and positive mindset,so we need to get involved in things and participate in different kinds of activities
ReplyDeleteCouldn't be said better that's why I always think that associating ourselves with people that are above us will always give us a push to be eager and be motivated to get to where they are.
DeleteLaziness is also a factor. You get people who are lazy to study and then they expect to pass or wonder how they failed. W e just need to stop being lazy and start working towards our destiny's.
ReplyDeleteThat's a serious factor that is killing us therefore I always keep the saying in mind that "the is no gain without pay".
DeleteIf I see a person my age or in the same age-group I take it as my motivation , I dont envy them just look up to them. Dedication and hardwork can get you anywhere
